Warm festive greetings from St. Xavier's College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA).
It gives me great pleasure to share that SXCCAA successfully hosted its annual benevolent festive outreach programme, "Spread the Light," on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, at the St. Xavier's College, Park Street Campus. This initiative remains a core expression of the Association's enduring commitment to social service and compassionate engagement.
The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Dominic Savio, SJ, Principal of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata; President, SXCCAA; and Secretary, Jesuit Higher Education Association of South Asia (JHEASA), along with other esteemed Jesuit Fathers of the St. Xavier's College Community.
Through this benevolent effort, members of SXCCAA reached out to specially-abled individuals, underprivileged children, and senior citizens across various social welfare institutions, distributing food items, essential supplies, and festive gifts on the joyous occasion of Kali Puja, Deepavali, and Bhaidooj.
In his address, Rev. Father Principal highlighted that the true essence of our festivals lies in sharing light and love with others — acts that reflect the Xaverian mission of Faith in Action by bringing hope, inclusiveness, dignity, and joy to every life we touch.
